Schumann Cello Concerto
Maja Bogdanović, Cello

Dvořák Symphony No. 6

World touring cellist Maja Bogdanović returns to Lubbock to perform Schumann’s greatest work, “Cello Concerto.” The second Masterworks concerts also features the invigorating pieces Dvořák’s Czech folk dance, “Symphony No. 6” and Brahms’ “Hungarian Dances No.5, 6, and 7.” Both are inspired by the movements of dance and Brahms wrote this composition about the taboo world of the Hungarian gypsies when he was only 17.
